Robert Pinsky to Award $1,000 in 4th Annual Poetry Contest

Robert Pinsky to Award $1,000 in 4th Annual Poetry Contest

Our 4th Annual Poetry Contest is open for submissions, from now until August 15th. The judge is Robert Pinsky, former United States Poet Laureate.

This contest is for writers who have yet to publish a book of poetry; we here at the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival are proud to support and nurture emerging writers who are finding their path and honing their craft.

Beyond his judging duties, Pinsky will also participate in our 2014 Festival alongside many established and up-and-coming artists of all mediums. The Poetry Contest winner will be invited to read his winning work with Pinsky at the Festival in 2014, which will run from March 19-23 in New Orleans.

The top ten finalists will receive a panel pass ($75 value) to attend the next Festival, and their names will be published on www.tennesseewilliams.net. The winner will be announced by January 15th, 2014.

Please review all eligibility requirements, FAQ, and guidelines before entering. We accept submissions online and in the mail.
