The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival
Thanks for a great 2008 Festival! See you in 2009.
VolunteersThank You to Our Volunteers!

To all the volunteers who donated their time, sweat, and patience to the 2008 Festival, we’d like to say BRAVO and thank you! We couldn’t have done it without you. Your help allowed us to present nearly 100 events over four days in locations throughout the French Quarter and CBD. From theater to Master Classes, to food events and fun activities, we needed help from our volunteers every step of the way. We want you to know that you’re an important part of our event, and we’re grateful for your assistance in making our Fest a success.

And what a success! From the delightful and charming Marian Seldes to debates on whether New Orleans really marks the Caribbean’s northernmost border, guests stayed enthralled throughout panel discussions. And people learned more about our Festival’s namesake through in-depth discussions at the day-long scholars’ conference. Audiences laughed and cheered for our numerous theater productions, including the new event, Tennessee’s Got Talent and the familiar favorite Ignatius on Stage. Festival participants ate and sipped juleps and watched our first ever silent Stanley. And your help made it possible, every step of the way.

We do depend on the kindness of strangers and we’re so glad when we can make those strangers into friends. We hope you’ll be part of next year’s Festival as well. The 23rd annual event will take place March 25th -29th, 2009.

If you’d like to get even more involved with the Festival, we often have projects that need volunteers before throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact our office at info@tennesseewilliams.net.

Thanks again and we’ll see you in 2009!
