STAGED READING OF THE 2008 ONE-ACT PLAY CONTEST WINNER: INDIFFERENT BLUE by George Pate (March 30, 10:00 a.m.) Stanley hates being in heaven, bored by the overwhelming sameness of it all, and he decides to find a way out. His guardian angel, Gerald, and a smug St. Peter have other plans. Inspired by the Wallace Stevens poem “Sunday Morning.”

PREMIERE PERFORMANCE OF THE 2007 ONE-ACT PLAY CONTEST WINNER: WEÏRD by B.T. Ryback (March 30, 11:00 a.m.) The three Weïrd Sisters from Shakespeare’s Macbeth are on the lam in Denmark. Warned by the “signs,” the eldest and youngest sisters fear their awful deeds in Scotland have caught up with them, and they make plans to flee again. However, middle sister Linn is determined for them to stop running from their past. A knock on the door brings a mysterious traveler into their house, and with him the opportunity for Linn to lead a normal life, forcing her to choose between this newfound hope and her beloved family.
